My first question is: Would you sign up for match.com?.

My next question is: In a situation where I don't know who to believe...the man I'm dating (online dating with Match.com) or his best friend? The friend is saying he's playing and doesn't care for me the way he (BF) says he does (says he loves me, etc). Who to believe?..

Your question was: Would you sign up for match.com?.

You dont provide a lot of info so it is difficult to respond.  There are many factors involved - does your bf's behavior mirror what his best friend is telling you or does he behave like a bf who cares?  does the best friend like you and want to split the two of you up?  Does the best friend know something about your bf (like cheating) and is trying to push you away from him?..

I think it is a little of everything you mentioned, if that makes sense.  His friend and I get along very well. Would we have dated if we met before the other guy, probably. There is another friend (of bf) that has warned me of his behavior as well.  They tell me that they like me and care about me and this relationship (thru Match.com) is not good. BF tells me Im his girlfriend and that he is not with anyone else, however I just found out last night is is visiting someone out of town!  he lied about the reasons for where he he was going!..

An example...Got imto an argument (via cell) one night becasue I wouldn't pick up the phone and he thought I was blowing him off.  He said some nasty things and I said that I couldn't do this with him anymore (which I unfortunately didnt stick to).  The next day he apologized and wanted me to meet him a local rest/bar. he also called thi ssame friend and asked him to meet him to (thats what his freind had said).  When his friend got there before me, BF complained to friend that "F'ck, she wants to meet me here. We got in a fight and she wants to talk about. As soon as were done you and I can head out."  (this is what the freind told me).Meanwhile, he had been saying to call him, it's important, no more yelling, etc.   The BF said said his friend had asked to meet him there after he had already invited me.  ????..

The two incidents that you describe dont paint a pretty picture of this guy. Lying about travelling and now lying to you and the friend about your meeting at the bar.  If you see a pattern here with lies then you might want to take their advice and move on...
