Many have said try beano but that did not work for me. I take a store brand for lactose intolerance with each meal and that works perfectly for me...
If beano and lactaid don't work, try charcoal capsules from the drugstore. BUT - be aware that you can't take them close to time for any medications because they will absorb those too. AND - it will turn everything inside your digestive tract BLACK, so don't freak when you go potty the first time after taking them..
I would try the beano and lactaid first and charcoal as a last result...
Do drink carbonated beverages??.
I was having the WORST time with gas, but I'm also a Diet Coke (and now Coke Zero) freak.
After a few days without any soda at all, I was fine (but didn't really notice it). Then I had a 20oz diet coke with my soup for lunch one day... and had the MOST painful gas all the rest of that day and night (and into the next day).
BINGO! Connection made!.
Try cutting out the soft drinks... might work for you, too.
I find that the shakes and bars give me the worse gas so you might want to try to figure out which products are doing it. Maybe it will be that easy...
Do you take a fiber supplement (to help you stay... uh... regular)? I get terrible gas from Benefiber, but do ok with psyllium husks. I might have gas for a couple days when I start the psyllium, but it goes away (teehee) quickly.
