Your question was: What to do during Nutrisystem if I need to munch?.
Space out your meals into mini meals. For example, I eat my breakfast entree and fruit at 6:00, watch tv, workout, get ready for work, then eat my dairy/protein at 8:00. It helps to stay ahead of the hunger..
Jen..
Welcome Tammy!.
NS rocks! I stretch all of my food out and basically eat all day long..
I am on the women's basic plan. I work from 9 to 6 pm, and I'm a night owl, so my times may be later than most normal eating hours!! Here is a sample of one of my days..
Water - I drink at least 16 oz before I leave the house for work. I drink 48 oz at work. I drink 48 oz when I get home for the evening. Note - this is more than the required 64 oz.
Food:.
Breakfast Nutrisystem entree (as soon as I get up; around 7 am): Nutrisystem Entree (usually a muffin or a bar).
Breakfast dairy/protein (around 9:30/10 am): 1 low fat string cheese, or 1 egg.
Breakfast fruit (around 11 am): 1 apple, 3 prunes or cup of mandarin oranges (no sugar, packed in water).
Lunch veggie and dairy/protein (around noon): HUGE salad with tuna and Walden Farms Fat Free, Sugar Free, 0 calorie dressing (either Blue Cheese or Thousand Island).
Lunch Nutrisystem entree (around 1 pm): Nutrisystem Entree.
Lunch veggie #2 (around 2 pm): carrots, spinach, cauliflower, green beans, or broccoli.
Afternoon Snack dairy/protein (between 3 and 4 pm): Either 1 string cheese, or 6 slices of Oscar Meyer 98% fat free mesquite turkey with 1 Light Laughing Cow Wedge.
Afternoon Snack fruit and Dinner fruit (around 5 or 6 pm): Banana (1/2 for snack and 1/2 for dinner).
Dinner (between 7 and 8 pm): Nutrisystem Entree.
Dinner Veggie #1 (between 7 & 8 pm): Huge salad with Walden Farms FF/SF dressing.
Dinner Fat (between 7 & 8): 5 black olives, or 1 tsp peanut butter.
Dinner Veggie #2 (between 8 and 9 pm): carrots, spinach, cauliflower, broccoli or V-8 (usually V-8 because I'm full).
Dessert (between 10 and 11 pm): Nutrisystem Dessert!.
Hope some of this helps. Remember that you are worth it!! Good luck on your Nutrisystem journey!!..
A couple of the biggest volume meals I eat are the Veggie Fajita and the Grilled Chicken Breast. With both of these, I saute loads of cabbage and onions, then add the entree. To the chicken one, I add some lite soy sauce. It's really good and it makes a LOT. Then you get to have your added carb, so I always use a Thomas Bagel Thin, a Thomas Better Start English muffin, or an Oroweat Sandwich Thin. I eat these only on my hungry days. If it's not a hungry day, there's no way I'm finishing it...
Luznthecaboose, do you eat the whole sandwich thin or do you divide it into the two pieces and only eat one? I have some and the package says 100 calories for the two-part thin, but the online thing doesn't have anything like that, so I'm not sure what to do...
