Hello,.

I absolutely hate the shakes, except for the dutch chocolate and I'm now sarting to dislike that one too. I need some ideas on what to do with them. I've tried the shake cakes but I'm wondering if theres anything else out there..

Thanks,.

Mammac..

You can use extracts, just the ones you get in the spice aisle. Totally changes the flavors. Mint, lemon, rum, coconut, maple..

I actually prefer all the shakes hot vs cold. Mix them up like cocoa and micro for a minute or so...

There are tons of recipe ideas on here for the shakes. So far my fave is to mix with a brewed cup of flavored coffee, a little water and some ice, whirl it in the ninja and have a coolata!..

I hear ya mammac, I have a lot of the dutch chocolate shakes and I thought I was going to make cookies with them but I can't get them to come out right (to mushy inside) and the shake cakes are so so. I was thinking of mixing them with either the brownie mix or the chocolate pudding and see what happens..

Mammac - try mixing 2 of the flavors. I really hated the orange, mildly like the strawberry, but mixed the 2 together for a great flavor - and froze it in my blender mug so it was like having sherbet. Also good is to mix one of the low cal drink flavors (like Crystal Light pink lemonade) in either the strawberry, orange or vanilla shakes. Pretty darn good that way also. It also makes a huge diff on the shakes (at least I think) if they're blended in a mixer such as the Bullet, or whatever small blender type like that you choose. Just seems to make the consistancy better..

Hope this helps!..

They are better if mixed in a blender or bullet. Also once mixed let them sit for a few minutes. Extracts are good too...

Just mixed in 2 tablespoons of davinci almond sf syrup in a dutch chocolate shake for a great chocolate amaretto this morning! and the shakes are MUCH better blended with ice.

Also added 1/2 packet of the raspberry cyrstal light powder to a vanilla shake and that came out really tasty...

With Fall upon us, here are 2 of my favorites:.

Gingerbread.

1 pk Medifast French vanilla shake.

1/2 tsp baking powder (1 condiment).

1 Tbsp egg beaters (deduct from L&G).

2 Tbsp SF gingerbread syrup - I use DaVinci (1 condiment).

Pam cooking spray.

Lightly spray a small plastic container with Pam. In the same container, combine Medifast shake and baking powder. Add all 3 Tbsp's of liquid and gently stir until you get a batter consistency. Let it sit for 5 minutes (this is KEY). Microwave for 1 minute, depending on the wattage of your microwave. Mine is 1100 watts.

Pumpkin Bread.

1 pk Medifast French vanilla shake.

1/4 tsp baking powder (1/2 condiment).

1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice (1/2 condiment).

1 Tbsp egg beaters (deduct from L&G).

1 Tbsp SF vanilla syrup - I use Starbuck's (1/2 condiment).

1 Tbsp water.

Pam cooking spray (1/2 condiment).

Lightly spray a small plastic container with Pam. In the same container, combine Medifast shake, baking powder and pumpkin pie spice. Add all 3 Tbsp's of liquid and gently stir until you get a batter consistency. Let it sit for 5 minutes (this is KEY). Microwave for 1 - 1 minute 20 seconds, depending on the wattage of your microwave. I cook for 1 minute in my 1100 watt microwave.

Not only do these smell absolutely delicious, they taste heavenly. Ok, so you have to give up 2 condiments, but trust me it's worth it for a special treat every now and then!.

Joy.
