I haven't tried it, but it could work. When I make chips out of the cream of broccoli, I add 3 Tbsp of water and spread the paste on a sprayed pie plate or dinner plate. I start by microwaving for 2 minutes, and at that point, it's about flexible/soft enough to make a wrap. I'd still use the 3T of water and start with a minute and a half and test it (let it cool some, though.. it tends to get a little less pliable as it cools. Will be curious to hear the results. Hi Lisa, I take the cream of tomato soup, add 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1/8 cup of egg beater and usually chili powder to taste. I mix it together and then I add enough water to make a pretty thick batter. I put it on parchment paper in as big of a round as I can get it. Pretty thin. Bake at 425 like 10 minutes. Keep a close eye on it. Hope it turns out, it wasn't really a recipe I just adapted other recipes..
I was under the impression (from NI ) that you were not suppose to use a Medifast meal with your Lean and green. I asked this question "back in the day"... a few months after I started because I wanted to do the same kind of thing.
Anyone else know?..
I tried to make the COT bagel (came out perfect the first time) but since I doubled the cream of tomato I also doubled the baking powder. (WHOOPS).
So I open the oven and have these huge rising balls! I tried to flip them and wound up with wonderful browned flat wraps. I spread 1 wedge of LC cheese on it. YUM!.
Here is my messup:.
2 packet Tomato Soup.
1 large egg white.
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder.
1/2 tsp Oregano.
1 1/4 tsp baking powder.
4 tablespoons water.
Use a plastic spatula to split batter into two small bagel/round shapes on tin foil sprayed with cooking spray. Bake it at 375 for about 10 minutes until the top is brown. This much baking powder makes it spread out! Flip it and cook for another 5 min but keep your eye on it. This comes out the thickness of a wrap and tastes very nice! Adapted from Kurzweil.
I counted each one as 1 Medifast meal plus 1/2 egg white (subract from lean) plus condiments. I personally do not count spices as full condiments unless it is baking powder or salsa but this is just me..

Kazie As far as I know you are not supposed to include a Medifast meal into your lean and green. I was wondering if the rest of the family was eating tacos that this would be eaten at the same time? Of course some MF's combine meals to get them all inso what do I know?..
If I recall correctly, you are allowed to eat a Medifast meal with your L&G if you have too, in order to get them all in, but it should not be done often..
I also notice a lot of people eating their healthy fat with a Medifast meal (ie, laughing cow cheese spread and the soup crackers) but I don't think that's allowed either. I'm pretty sure your healthy fat is supposed to be consumed with your l&g...
I really don't know if they are supposed to be separated or not. I have never done it before so I don't think that doing it once in a blue moon will derail my success. It's a good question for nutritional support...
Dumb question and off topic, but where are the FAQ and rules that tell you not to mix Medifast meals with L&G? What makes a full mix? Recipes are always adding egg whites, a bit of this from L&G and a bit of that. I'm confused. These wraps sound good!..
NS wants you to get all 5 meals in plus your L&G and hf. Ideally you should spread your meals 2-3 hours apart and get 6 meals. This is a guideline not a set rule.
I don't mix Medifast and L&G often and when I make a wrap I don't use it for my L&G. I use a very small portion of my L&G because we are totally allowed to split our L&G. Nutrisystem even encourages it if you find yourselves hungry. I usually use 99% FF chicken so I get 7 ounces and I use 1 ounce in my wrap with one LC cheese (condiment) a lettuce leaf and a few pieces of tomato. I just subtract accordingly..
MF is pretty flexible as long as you are getting all your foods and fats in the program works. Some people find using condiments, etc slows their weight loss, others not so much. We each needs to find what works for us...
