Your question was: Nutrisystem vs eDiets.

All the food seems to be High GI...i'd stick with NS...

Actually they have many meal plans to choose from, including the Glycemic Impact plan which would regulate blood sugars. This plan has a lot of things you have to put together and less convenience foods though. I've been a member of the site for a long time. I got to my lowest weight with them when I was following their plans thoroughly.

I've been using Nutrisystem as I need quick meals more right now. If planning and time is an issue I'd stick with NS. The good things about the ediets meal plans is they're able to give you tips on making recipes in proper portions. Sure we see a portion already made but sometimes doesn't show you how it starts out..

Their fresh delivery plan is great foods but I got sick of them real quick and weren't based on regulating blood sugars. It is fresh foods though. Delivered by Fed Ex with styrofoam lined boxes with ice packs inside. The food was always delivered cold for me. There's no choices on the snacks included though but all meals are within certain lists. Not all weeks have the same foods in the list though..

It is a paid site though and some of their membership plans might not be as well received as they once were in the past..

It comes down to personal choice really - do you like the dehydrated/preserved Nutrisystem foods vs fresh, do you need the low glycemic and lots of protein in the meals, do you like the grab & go meals vs cooking, not counting calories vs needing to log foods. All questions to help you decide.

All plans work when you put the effort into following them. Whether we want to agree with it or not it all comes down to food, exercise, and water...

$161 for one week, but it is buy one week get one week right now. I looked at the entrees; I think I prefer the NS...

I was a member of ediets.com for over a year and lost over 60 pounds. It worked very well for me (as any diet does when you are dedicated). The only problem I had was the amount of prep work involved in making all my own meals which is why I joined Nutrisystem. It's all about personal preference and know that your preferences may change over time. I kept most of the weight off (except 15 pounds) for about a year and a half before finding Nutrisystem...
