My husband and I have both been on Medifast for almost a month and the thing we have been really missing on the weekends is our big breakfasts. With my first order, I got a sample packet of Scrambled eggs and followed the microwave directions. It was disgusting. When I reordered, he asked if I could please order a box of scrambled eggs. He didn't want to keep using up his L&G on egg beaters. I was hesitant, but I did it.

Use a shaker jar to mix the "dust" with water..

Use the frying pan directions, and first put in 1 oz. of Soyrizo. (It tastes just like regular chorizo, but it's vegetarian and not full of fat! Totally worth having only 6 oz of chicken tonight!).

Add the eggs, cook, and season with some flake salt and a dash of Tapatio hot sauce..

Muy delicioso!..

I am glad to find out about Soyrizo! I loved chorizo until I found out what was in it - YUCK! (and I am not talking about the fat!) I will have to see if I can find it somewhere. Where do you usually find it, and in what department of the store?..

Yeah I agree on using the stove top directions. I never even tried the microwave..i just couldnt fathom eating nuked eggs...seemed to me like that dust/water batter couldnt possibly turn into a light and fluffy scrambled egg..

I love the eggs!!!..

Ok... what is Soyrizo... Is it an oil.

Thank you..

Soyrizo resembles chorizo, which is a Mexican/Spanish sausage made of pork "mystery meat". I grew up eating it with eggs for breakfast, but didn't enjoy it as much when I learned what it's made of. Soyrizo is made of soy protein, though. I found it in the local health food store (lucky to live in Southern California) and was hooked. But they sell it at Vons, which is a big chain supermarket. I use El Burrito brand, but I think Melissa's health foods makes one too.

Oh, I forgot- it's in the refrigerated section with all of the vegetarian stuff- the tofu, soy cold cuts and other fake meat...

Hi ..

I know that Walmart does carry the soyrizo. For anyone that has a Walmart near By. It is in the refrigerated section with the Healthy foods, Organic and Soy Stuff. In Our Walmart it is in the produce section..

Hope this helps..
