Ok, so I got my first Medifast package. Sifted through it like a kid opening a Christmas present, read the literature, etc. Ate my first Medifast breakfast this morning, the chocolate mint crunch bar. I feel like I'm cheating! I've been low carbing for a week (lost 6 lbs) while waiting for my products to arrive and I'm telling you, I don't feel good for eating that chocolate bar. What the heck? I just had my mid-morning chicken noodle soup which was really good but again I feel bad because there are noodles in it. I'm going to have to change my thought process and I don't know how to do that.

How am I going to eat every few hours? I feel so full right now (this stuff is filling). Help! I don't want to think I'm bad for eating these carbs and I want to cry. I actually looked at the carb content on the boxes and thought "How are people ever getting into ketosis like this?". I've read where people are, they describe typical ketosis breath and everything else "pleasant" that goes along with it. Someone please help me fix my brain!.

I would have to agree with suetrenton put your weight loss journey in Mf's hands let it do all the hard work for you. The only thing you personally have to think about with Medifast is the L&G. The minute you start overthinking this is the minute it starts to fail. I know it's going to be hard to trust someone else (that someone being MF) to do the thinking for you especially if you are a perfectionist like me and have read every low/no carb book out there. But the Medifast journey just works and once you start to see the lower numbers on the scales you will be glad you let it work for you..

Now I'll get off my soap box and wish you success and welcome!..

Yes... Medifast is a LOWER carb plan, NOT a LOW carb plan. In fact, I like to think of it as a specific carb plan because for it to work your carbs need to be in a very specific range- not too low to be healthy and not too high for it to work. Good luck & enjoy the yummy food. Just remind yourself this is some of the healthies, best balanced food you can find...

Thank you all so much. I know it works because all of you have done so good on it. Just can't stand to think of gaining a pound from changing things up. Those chocolate mint bars are awesome!..

I agree with what everyone has said. Really just follow that plan as directed, no need to count carbs or long as you eat what they tell you to eat, you should fall within the correct amount of carbs and protein to keep you in ketosis. I always just take a peek at my end of day nutrition report under 'my plan' once I've logged all my meals to make sure my carbs are around the 80's and protein is 100 or so. Just DO IT! lol. You can do it and you WILL succeed! Don't stress!..

Yes the chocolate mint taste like girl scout thin mints yum! I think you will do great on mf. I tried a lower Carb diet before mg and mg turned out to be easier and quicker...
