I have a question for the veterans. How do you get rid of lumps in the cream soups? I've tried cold water, hot water, more time in the microwave, less time and still lumps. The texture is very off-putting to me, but I like the flavor.

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I have very good luck with COLD water and shaking the heck out of it in my shaker before nuking it.

I do it one minute at a time stirring in between and watching it CAREFULLY cause they bubble over fast!.

Hi, I use a fork or spoon, and it still comes out smooth. I just stir very well, before and in the middle of cooking...

Yes, watch out for the overflowing. My co-workers keep teasing me about blowing up soup in the microwave!!..

Thanks so much for the replies! I'll try these suggestions...

I eat mine at work usually too and use the hot/cold taps (bottled water) to make mine. I have the best luck if I put in hot water enuf to stir easily into a paste. Then when I add the remaining water (hot of course) it's very creamy and NO lumps at all..

Good luck with it...

Am I the only one who likes the lumps?..

My method is pretty much the same as GBS - I mix the powder with a fork in a little tap water to get it smooth, then add boiling water either from the tap on my coffee machine at the office or from my teapot at home...

I like the lumps in the chai or the cappucino, because they are a little burst of sweetness. The soups, not so much...

I also use a fork to mix it, but I think the real key is letting it SIT I'd say at least 30 minutes, but I usually mix mine with cold water the night before or in the morning to eat that evening. Then heat in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and heat again. As long as it sits long enough, everything kind of "melts."..

If you want to spend a few bucks on the super shaker, it is wonderful. I've mixed almost everything in there with great success. No lumps at all... Otherwise, the mixing with a fork and small amt. of water, then adding the rest works well. I started doing that with the puddings first. THey seemed to be the hardest to mix...

I use the shaker cup that came with my first order and shake it like crazy, then pour into a large coffee cup or bowl. I nuke half way, stir and then finish nuking watching to ensure no spillage. It works great, no lumps in anything...

I use boiling water and whip in the magic bullet..

I think I'm going to prepare my hot cocoa the same way as I do the shakes: use my Braun handblender and whip the heck out of it!..
