I started Nutrisystem a week ago and did really well for the first 6 days. Now I am starting to get hungry at night after my snack. I have tried eating veggies, but cheated and had an extra fruit.

I also wish that Nutrisystem would figure out some specific menu items at different restaurants that would be ok to substitute for a dinner once in awhile.

I am expecting my first shipment anytime now. I hope I don't have this hunger issue. I may have to find something else to occupy my time because I am a person who eats when I am bored, not hungry. Well, not always hungry. What about those flavourfull drinks? Do they help?..

I was the same way during the first couple of months - I had sf jello with ff cool whip and it helped. I also went to bed very early<G>. Your first "cheat" was a good one! Fruit is probably much better than what you did 10 days ago!.

As to the restaurants - once you get the hang of the program, you will begin to analyze restaurant offerings pretty well. There are several discussions about eating out and you might want to do a search in the Food Talk and Tips forum. There was one recently about the new Applebee's dinners..

How is the food? I see mixed reviews, most people seem to jazz their food up somehow. I confess, I am not that talented in the kitchen. Am I going to have a hard time?.

I there really a "gas problem"?..

I found that when I noticed I felt hungry at night, I generally saw a marked decrease in weight on the scale shortly thereafter.

Increase your salad serving with dinner. Or have a cup of popcorn. A cup of hot tea may help as well. It does for me...

I used to get hungry at night during the first week but that has seemed to subside.

When I do get hungry is between breakfast (6 a.m.) and Lunch (12:30 p.m.) but have corrected this by having my "lunch protein" and some water at around 10:30 a.m. This helps a great deal...
