Your question was: How to stop feeling hungry while on Nutrisystem?.
You tell everyone your about to go for a walk. And then tell them to get that crap out of sight by the time you get back! Don't ask for respect, DEMAND IT! Tell EVERYONE your not doing this just for looks, this is a life long way of eating and they have to respect that. It's about your health, and no one cares more about your health then you.
When my DD bakes and cooks things she knows I like and can't have, she takes it in her room. My wife takes them out to eat. When it's pizza time, they cook and eat before I get home etc..
Sorry about my soap box! But having everyone in the house on board with you is very important. I had a very serious talk with my family before I started Nutrisystem (I'm the main cook in my house.) and I was very firm and aggressive about how it was going to be. I wasn't a AH to them, but they knew I was serious!!.
BTW, to answer your question, I like to go for a short walk and I always eat a salad when I feel like eating when I shouldn't...
Thanks guys! I did good. Thanks Pam for the reminder of the unlimited veggies! I ate a big bowl of broccoli and cauliflower. I just had my dinner, and I feel great. I even managed to get down 3 more 16.9 ounces each of water!! Im glad I commited to this board and to stay here so I don't cheat.
Thanks Cal!! Your awesome. AND yes, the pizza sticks, and the rice is gone...
Great job, Dori. I have been hungry for the past two days more than usual but I also managed to not give in. I had mashed cauliflower tonighta big bowl and it was yummy! I had never had it before. That is something else to dowhen you get hungry like that, try something new. It is always nice to add to your list of good things. And Calvin, great answer.
I know it must be difficult for both of you with others in the house. Again, Dori, GREAT job!!!..
I've noticed when I get those REAL hunger pains when I shouldn't be, is when I have a loss in weight the next time I hit the scales! So when I get REAL hungry, I just smile knowing my body will "eat" it's-self when it figures out that I'm not going to stuff my face with something!..
Cal I like the eat itself part.. those hungry days are heck, Good Job hanging tough Dori!..
This is a great quote and focal point. Thanks! I agree that if non-NS foods are a temptation, you should have others put them away. My husband is being very supportive making veggie bags for my lunch box and ensuring we have water in the car when we go out. He never encourages me to go off plan and let's me decide what/when to eat..
Good Job hanging in there. Remember, you can eat the foods out of order or earlier if you are starving. Not just Bfast; Lunch and dinner time..
You can be the you, you wish to become...
There must be something in the air, because I woke up at 2 AM this morning absolutely famished and would have eaten a horse [if it had been around]. I feel for you. Lucky, for me I live alone-widow, kids grown and married. So the bottom line there is nothing in the house that would tempt me too much. I got up and did what Cal does...ate a salad. No dressing, but tons of veggies.
I give you tremendous credit for hanging in there....
Great job, Dori! Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow too!..
