Hi Guys~.

I remember seeing someone posting about making a bakes good out of the shakes...anyone know the recipe & what to do???? I NEED change it up!.

Just search "shake cake" on the recipe board and you will get loads of ideas.

The simplest one is 1 packet of shake mix, about 1/2 tsp of baking powder, add water till it looks like cake batter, and microwave for 90 seconds..

I always add a spoonful of ground flax meal, and sometimes add a little egg white if I have a little lean left..

They are yummy Just had one for "dessert"...

I mix 1/4 cup egg beaters and a pack of Splenda with one shake mix, then microwave in a cup. Mmmm.

Just deduct the egg beaters from your lean...

1 shake.

1 T of eggbeater.

1/2 tsp baking powder.

Mix well... add water if necessary to get a cake like batter consistency.

Microwave 1-2 minutes (until center is done)... in a cereal bowl (time depends on size of bowl)..

Microwaves vary..

I actually use the s/f syrup (1 tsp) over the top of the cake... or mix 1 T of PB2 (mixed with water) and drizzle it over the top (especially on the chocolate cakes)...

I make mine with one pack choc shake, 1/2 teaspoon aluminum free baking powder, 2 tablespoons egg beaters, two tablespoons SF syrup of choice,( I used one chocolate and one carmel) I put in small jar for bullet and mixed in magic bullet. Then I used a rubber scraper to get every last bit out of bullet jar and placed into small tupperware dish. One that you may have a cup of soup in. I microwaved for 1 minute 20 seconds and let sit for one minute. it was amazing....

I do a shake, .5 tsp BK powder, SF Syrup, But Have found that using 1 real egg white and cooking it in a really hot oven ( 450) makes a HUGE difference. Also I make two shallower/smaller muffins from the one shake - i.e. I put it in two muffin cups and I comes out real good. When I tried doing it with egg beaters and in the micro, I mpersonally didnt care for it.....just a thought......

Today I added shredded zuchini just about a .25 grams weighed out and it gave my morning muffin some nice body and great flavor - cinnamon and ginger I added to actually. Very good indeed!..

The Antioxidant Shakes make the BEST shake cakes. They seem to come out fluffier for some reason. My favorite is the blueberry shake with 1 egg white, a little less than 1/4 cup of water and 1 splenda. Microwaved in cereal bowl (spray it w/Pam first) for approximately 2 minutes. I cut it in half and then spray it with 2-3 sprays of ICBINB spray -OMG it's like having blueberry bread toast!..

Just made a shake cake. Tasted the batter and it tasted like Vanilla Batter. Yum. The shake cake was good...

I really missed fruit tonight so used a banana creme shake for the cake, when it was done, poked some holes in the top and drizzled Walden Farms free blueberry syrup down over the top and into the holes, soaked in. Pretty good fruit "fix"!..

Veee!! This was amazing!! I've tried several of the shake recipes but haven't really cared much for them. I used a banana shake (I don't like those as a shake), followed your recipe, added cinnamon and fr. grated nutmeg, a dash of vanilla SF syrup. I thought the batter was too thick so I added a TBLS of water. I just bought these (too cute!) little individual silicone cups at La Sur that are mostly for poaching eggs but can go in a hot oven. They look like colorful tulips.

Popped right out, very much like a real muffin, flufffy, delicious, incredible..

Wish I had more of that banana. Anyone used the puddings in place of the shakes for 'cakes'?? Thank You!!..

I can't be bothered making them one at a time. I bought texas size muffin pans that make 6 at a time. Preheat the oven to 350. I take 6 shakes or a combination of shakes and oatmeal. I love maple and brown sugar oatmeal and banana shakes (3 each), but have found other combinations that work very well. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of non aluminum baking powder, 1/2 cup of DaVinci's sugar free syrup, 1/2 cup water, cinnamon, powdered butter, whatever other spices sound good and mix everything together.

Bake about 30 - 35 minutes. Test after 30 to see if they are done. I make them like this because I like the "crust". I just like them better than in the microwave. I have kept them 3 days without refrigerating..

Darn it! I wish I read this thread earlier. I've had a really hard time drinking the powdered shakes... just had one :/ Hmm this gives me much promise for tomorrow!!!!..
