My first question is: Does VitaminShoppe Vitamins really work?.

My next question is: I was introduced to this bloke at the gym this morning. He was in his mid-fifties and has competed several times. Rather than a chance to ask questions, it turned into a bit of a lecture and I was left with lots of questions about his thoughts on PCT.

Basically, he was saying that he has never run PCT. I'm not great with the scientific langauge, but his argument was that as an older bodybuilder, normal test levels are pretty low anyway and therefore, shutdown is going to be far less dramatic than it would be for a younger bloke. Subsequently, leave the body to restore to normal function naturally..

Now, I'm a "better safe than sorry" bloke, so will still follow the pct I had planned, but it has made me think, is there anything in what he was saying or was it a load of bull..

Your question was: Does VitaminShoppe Vitamins really work?.

Me neither!!.

I think I'm saying that if natural test levels are low anyway by virtue of being a menopausal man, then post cycle, they haven't got to, or be able to, restore to the level of someone much younger..

No... but they are pretty much SWITCHED OFF.... chances are they would not return to the levels of say a strapping 27 year old (like moi) anyways.... no matter how much clomid you take!.

So yes PCT is neccesary as you are switched OFF and you want to switch test back ON!.

And if at the end of PCT your natural test is a little higher than normal... great!.

Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong... but I think common sense wins again..

His logic is crap. Assuming you aren't 16, at a younger age your body is far more capable and likely to rebound correctly. There are plenty of studies to back this up...

In my opinion he would benefit more from a well structured PCT as he would not have such a high natty test base to acheive to keep his gains as his natty test levels will have naturally lowered due to his age..

In fact he would benefit hugely from uses a substance like DHEA during PCT as this is a natural precursur to the creation of Test....
