Hi!.

Day 2 - and going okay. Was out all day, so lunch is what I missed.

Instead had half a falalel outside and my calorie intake for the day is still well within my permitted calories range. Is this okay... or should I count this as straying away from the plan?.

Also, next week I will be out of town for nearly 6 days. Any tips on how to stick to the plan? Its my BFF's birthday and there will be food involved :S .... what do I do?.

Thanks,.

Arti..

Your question was: Did I cheat on Nutrisystem?.

I bring most of my food when I go out of town. I pack all of my Nutrisystem entrees, and desserts. I like to take hard boiled eggs, yogurt and cheese sticks.

I also will take my meal planner pages with me so I know what I have planned for that meal. Sometimes I will switch proteins around if I need something to last longer.

I feel fuller when I eat yogurts- so pack those for meals that you know you will need to be filling...

Dude, one of the biggest problems I've found with experimenting is SODIUM. SALT will screw up your weigh in for DAYS on end =(.

I HATE IT!!!! So even though calorie wise you may stay on plan, the salt will kill you and it will suck...then you'll start second guessing Nutrisystem since you're so new to the plan!.

I'd suggest that you TAKE YOUR Nutrisystem FOOD WITH YOU. You need to remember to stay within the parameters of the plan...certain amounts of lean meat, your fat, etc and try to avoid the extra salt. Like the others said, eat salad, steamed veggies, stuff that you know isn't cooked in butter/oil/grease. And take your meal planner with you in a purse or something so that you can keep track of what is going into your mouth. Eating extra sugars etc will throw off your weight loss as well. Just keep that in mind at your next weigh in and don't be surprised if you don't lose as much as others in your first week or so.

I would not be surprised if there is.....

@kjenks - Hehe I should have guessed. Was kinda anxious after screwing up the day and really wanted some consoling words. Thanks for the advice. Will definitely carry the food for the trip and plan well in advance.

@littlebarty1 - Thanks for all the ideas. I guess I can atleast carry the breakfast bars and lunches if not more. Will try my best to stick to the dietChallenging 5 days coming up! :S.

@Nekhebet - Wow, I did not think about that at all! I was just thinking about the calories. Thanks for the information! I will surely be more careful now on...

You can contact Nutrisystem and they'll send it to you, or this is the women's flex I copied from another thread:.

The information listed below will help you to stay on track even when you are not eating the NutriSystem Entrees. When following these guidelines, you should still adhere to the grocery food additions listed in your meal planner. Please feel free to cater food choices to your preferences..

Breakfast.

1 Dairy Serving.

1 Protein Serving.

1 Fruit Serving.

1 Carbohydrate Serving.

Lunch.

1 Fat Serving.

2 Protein Servings.

2 Vegetable Servings (2 Tbsp. Fat Free Dressing, if desired).

1 Carbohydrate Serving.

Afternoon Snack.

1 Dairy or Protein Serving.

1 Fruit Serving.

Dinner.

2 Fat Servings.

3 Protein Servings.

1 Vegetable or Fruit Serving.

1 Carbohydrate Serving.

2 Vegetable Servings (2 Tbsp. Fat Free Dressing, if desired).

Dessert.

1 Dairy Serving.

1 Carbohydrate Serving.

Water 8, 8 oz. glasses Exercise: Type _______________ Minutes _______________ Weight: ______.

If you have more than 100 pounds to lose, add one carbohydrate serving to breakfast, add one fruit serving to lunch, and add one carbohydrate serving to dinner..

Sincerely,.

When you post on weekends, especially at night, it often takes a while to get a response. You'll get one though.

Yes, you strayed from the plan (however, not horribly, since it wasn't a 1500 calorie big mac and fries ). Calories are not all that counts while doing this, it's the types of food you're eating. Look up the flex guidelines so that you know what you should be eating if you're not eating Nutrisystem food. Also, learn to plan ahead. Put a bar and baby carrots in your purse so that you'll have them if you don't get home for lunch. A huge part of success on this plan is planning ahead for success..

As far as going out of town, PLAN! LOL, it's all about pre planning. Bring as much food with you as you can. Breakfast is all easy to bring, bring bars if you'll be out for lunch, then order a veggie only salad. Again, familiarize yourself with the eating out tips and flex guidelines so that you'll know what you should be getting.

Good luck!..
