I have been following the rules as strictly as possible and I believe it's paying off. I am running out of ideas though and one thing that crossed my mind was tuna salad on a huge piece of lettuce instead of bread. the issue is I don't know if I can have canned tuna. This might be a stupid question but I thought this would be the place to ask..

Thanks in advance...

You can DEFINITELY have canned tuna! A LOT of it I might add! Once the tuna is drained, it takes about 2 cans to equal your 7 oz serving for lean. Break out several of huge pieces of lettuce and enjoy!!..

Just make sure to follow the condiment limitations when making your tuna salad. You only get 3 condiments a day, and the full list is available under Success Tool>Eat right.

Enjoy!..

My dad has always mixed cottage cheese with his tuna and puts some hot sauce on it...sounds weird but it's good. You'd have to check out the meatless options list to see how much you could use including the tuna...

I like to use Ranch dressing as my healthy fat when I make tuna...I mix it in, rather than using Mayo. Also, I like to use a little less tuna and add a hard boiled egg, as well as some celery...

Hey Shortee - How much Ranch Dressing do you use?.

Sounds very good... craving tuna, ranch, boiled egg...eat with cucumber!!! Mmmmm!!..

You get 2 healthy fats, so I use 2 tbs. I always eat mine with cucumber too!..

I used to eat tuna and cottage cheese alot when I was pregnant...forgot about doing that instead of mayo! Thanks for the reminder!..

So if I mixed one can tuna (5 oz.), one boiled egg, 1 tbsp mustard (1 condiment), 1 tbsp mayo (2 healthy fats), chopped pickles (allowed snack), would that be acceptable? I would just need to add my green. Also might be a dumb question, but is mayo and miracle whip considered to be the same thing? Didn't know if there was extra stuff in miracle whip, that wouldn't make it a healthy fat?..
