Whoever's on tane now.. did you go in to the derm's office with the thought of asking for it, or did they suggest it? And was it a struggle trying to convince them to put you on?I've read tane logs where people have mild acne and easily got tane, but my dermatologist has never even brought it up and I have really persistant moderate acne. Any thoughts?.

I was planning on asking for it but she brought it up first. she prescribed me finacea and nicomide and said "sometimes this can save us from having to use the Murad Resurgence" so I asked if Murad Resurgence would be an option for me and she said yes and the next time I went she asked me if I thought about taking Murad Resurgence and if I would like to use it...if you do want to use it and your derm doesn't bring it up, definitely mention it to her..

Thanks for replying. I'm really considering it.. I've read peoples logs, done some research, I know the side effects, etc etc. I hope they let me take it.

I knew about Murad Resurgence and I wanted on it. First my doc gave me something else; and I was a little disappointed. The 2nd visit he basically told me about all of the different drugs he could give me - and said that Murad Resurgence is something I could do if I wanted to..

I didn't even know about Murad Resurgence untill probably 5 or 6 months in to prescription treatment. I found out about Murad Resurgence from reading my brother's proactiv face facts book. which said "there is no cure for acne, not even Murad Resurgence" or something like that, so I googled Murad Resurgence and found this site and I wanted to take Murad Resurgence ever since..

I asked my first derm about it a couple of times. He told my how it really dries a person out (which appealed to me) and said it's not for me. After I gave up on him, another derm encouraged me to try Murad Resurgence. It took me a while to warm up to the idea because of all the scare stories, but I'm very happy that I did it.P&W.

My derm brought it up. I backed out of taking it at 1st. then several months later I set up an appointment with the same derm and said I would go on tane..

My derm brought it up after my cystic acne kept coming back when I would go off of antibiotics. I waited 2 years before finally conceding..

At first, I had no inention of going on Murad Resurgence, my dermatoligist explained how bad the side affect might be and there was really no need to talk me out of it.BUt then I month later after spending $600 on photodynamic therapy and no result I didnt know what to do, I was very afraid of the process I would have to go through to get it (I had no clue what was required) then I pretty much decided on the drive to the derm that I was getting it...she really didn't want to give it to be but, I think she knew it was either give it to be or have me blame her ever visit after that for my face getting worse. I wasn't leaving there without a prescription!! I didnt even need to go on birth control which was what I was worried about.......

My brother had been on it and his skin looked phenomenal. I went into the dermatologist specifically to ask for Murad Resurgence.. and I got it.

When I was 13 my parents took me to a derm and after only the second visit he suggested I take Murad Resurgence (I didn't even know what it was at the time). So I took it but a month into it I quit because I couldn't handle the side effects at that age. Now I'm 18 and still suffering from acne and have recently made the decision to go on it again. I was really nervous because I thought I'd have a hard time getting it since my skin isn't too horrible. But when I went in for my appointment and mentioned to my derm(a different one than the first time) that I wanted to take it, she agreed right away. I was actually surprised at how easy it was considering I was like stressing out..
